In the draft of the Republic budget for 2025, which the Center for Local Self-Government (CLS) had access to, as much as 21 billion dinars is allocated for the national stadium in Surčin, while nothing has been allocated for wastewater treatment and sewage in Belgrade, this organization announced.
A total of 45.2 billion dinars has been allocated for the National Stadium over a three-year period, the Center for Local Self-Government has learned.
It would be a great shame and oversight for Belgrade to host the international exhibition EXPO 2027, and that, despite a large investment cycle in public infrastructure, every resident of the capital city does not have access to water supply, sewage, and that a wastewater treatment plant is not built, the CLS statement said.
