Preparatory work for the Expo 2027 international exhibition in Surčin has been going on for months, and as announced, on May 1, the foundation stone for the construction of the National Stadium will be laid in the same place. Although there was no tender, at least seven companies are already engaged in the field, and some of them are well known to the public and associated with SNS.
According to Aleksandar Vučić’s announcements, the state will invest an incredible 18 billion euros in EXPO, the National Stadium, and a number of other infrastructure projects throughout the country, such as aquatics, construction of roads, railways, renovation of facades, schools, reconstruction of ports, health centers, as well as hotels and residential buildings, by 2027. About 1.2 billion euros will be spent on the pavilions, hotel and residential complex, aquatics center and National Stadium alone.

During her visit to Surčin, where the preparatory works are taking a long time, our reporter noticed the workers of a number of companies that are already involved in the implementation of the Expo and National Stadium projects, although no tenders have been announced so far. Some of them are well known to us and it was clear that the EXPO would not go without them.
Millennium Team
In the middle of the field in Surčin, during the preparatory work, vehicles with the Millennium Team badge could be seen.
By the way, it is not a big surprise for the public that this company got a job in Surčin, since they have been involved in the biggest state projects for years. More precisely, they got into all the pores of Serbian business – from gasification, through hotel and viticulture, to the construction of roads, bridges, scientific institutes…

Actually, the crown of everything was the state’s decision to sell the prestigious Yaroslav Černy Institute at an initial price of 2.58 million euros precisely to the Millennium team and a consortium that includes seven directors of that institute.
It is no longer a secret that Ivan Bošnjak, the head of that company, is close to SNS. He appears publicly at the conventions of that party, and in the premises of progressives, he distributed gifts with the SNS logo to older fellow citizens. His partner Stojan Vujko appears less often at such events.
Mostogradnja ING
And “Millennium Team” is not the only company owned by that duo that is active at the construction site in Surčin. On the spot, the “Nova” reporter saw trucks, a flag and workers of “Mostogradnja ing”, which is owned by them. Some workers we found on the spot told us that they had come all the way from Leskovac.

A few years ago, this company entered into a strategic partnership with the former giant “Mostogradnja” and took over part of their workers and leased the property.
Namely, according to data from the Agency for Business Registers, “Mostogradnja ING” has 214 employees and made a net profit of half a billion dinars or about 4.8 million euros. That is a more than doubled profit compared to the previous year 2022.
Novkol
The markings of the company “Novkol” were also seen in Surčin, which, unlike “Millennium Team” and its daughter company, is not so well known to the general public. Nevertheless, it was recorded that she was one of the first to be engaged in the Belgrade on the Water project and that she was in charge of piling. Among the owners are Miloš Hranisavljević, Milorad Janković and Nikola Višnić.

This company was founded in 1997 in Belgrade. The main activity of the company is the design and execution of construction works in the field of underground structures.
As one of the workers told us during the visit to the Surčin construction site, this company will also be engaged in the installation of piles for eight fair halls at that location.
Kompresor ING
This company from Valjevo is 100% owned by Miroljub Tomašević.
She was involved in several projects in Divčibare, and she found herself in the center of attention when she worked on the reconstruction of Vuk Karadzic Street in Valjevo. Then, according to the Kolubarska portal, an orange-white pedestrian crossing was drawn, which was contrary to the Rules on Traffic Signals.

The media also wrote that the costs for the reconstruction of a street also in Valjevo increased by 7.8 million dinars, that the works were delayed, and that company was one of the contractors.
Golf sped
This company is probably in charge of transporting materials to Surčin.

Its website states that since 1991 it has been transporting bulk materials in the country and abroad. They also sell and transport stone aggregates, as well as crushed stone. The owner of this company is Dragan Vujetić.
Vojput
The company Vojput Subotica was founded more than five decades ago, and Public Company Serbia Roads entrusted them with a significant network of state road maintenance in the north of the country. The company Boja for the production of traffic signals Sombor has the majority ownership in this company, while Goran Janković owns a share of 49.88 percent.

During this year alone, they received 10 jobs from the state, which are related to asphalting of streets and maintenance of roads.
Bard – Kop
This Belgrade-based company deals with the construction of roads and highways, and its owner and director is Ljubica Rakić. This company is not known to the general public either.
The media wrote about her in 2022, when she became a shareholder with five percent of the Macedonian construction company “Granit”.
